CEO (Chief Executive Officer)
Cryscade Solar Ltd and Carben Semicon Ltd, Russian start-up companies specializing in the development of new organic materials and efficient scalable fabrication technology for organic solar cells and organic semiconductors, are looking for highly qualified Chief Executive Officers.
Key Authorities and Responsibilities:
Reports To:
- The Board of Directors (“Board”) of the Company;
Function:
- Provides overall leadership and vision in developing, in conjunction with the Board, the strategic direction of the Company, and the tactics and business plans necessary to realize growth in revenue and earnings.
- Manages the overall business to ensure strategic and business plans are effectively implemented, the results are monitored and reported to the Board, and financial and operational objectives are attained.
General Functions:
- Provides effective leadership to the management and employees of the Company and establishes an effective means of control and co-ordination for all operations and activities.
- Fosters a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, integrity and a positive work climate, enabling the Company to attract, retain and motivate a diverse group of quality employees.
- Keeps the Board fully informed on all aspects of the Company's operational and financial affairs, and on all matters of significant relevance to the Company.
- Develops and maintains a sound, effective organization structure, and ensures capable management succession, progressive employee training and development programs, and reports regularly to the Board on these matters and officers' performance.
- Ensures that effective communications and appropriate relationships are maintained with the shareholders of the Company.
- Develops annual capital commitment and capital expenditure budgets for approval by the Board.
Strategy/Risks:
- Develops and recommends to the Board strategic plans to ensure the Company's profitable growth and overall success. This includes updating and making changes as required.
- Identifies, in conjunction with other senior officers, the key risks with respect to the Company and its businesses and reviews such risks and strategies for managing them with the Board.
- Ensures that the assets of the Company are adequately safeguarded and maintained.
Financial Reporting:
- Oversees the quality and timeliness of financial reporting. Reports to the Board, in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer.
- Ensures, in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer, that the annual and interim filings of the Company do not contain any misrepresentations and that the annual and interim financial statements fairly present, in all materials respects, the financial condition, results of operations and cash flow of the Company, and provides any related certifications required by applicable legislation or governance rules.
- Designs (or supervises the design of), implements, maintains and periodically evaluates, in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer, the effectiveness of internal controls to provide reasonable assurances that the financial statements of the Company are fairly presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and disclosure controls and procedures to provide reasonable assurances that material information relating to the Company is made known to the Chief Executive Officer by others within the Company.
Qualifications:
- MBA – essential
- Experience in international operational and financial affairs
- Management experience in start-up companies
- PhD in Physics or Chemistry would be highly beneficial
- Fluent in English.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Chairman.
